A Cappella Plus has been offering an exciting mix of sacred and secular choral music in and around Nanaimo and central Vancouver Island for over 27 years. Choir repertoire features material from the Renaissance to the present, including larger choral works in partnership with The Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra, simple folk songs, art songs, spirituals, contemporary pop/jazz and classical pieces. Originally a self-directed group of eight, the choir now averages 12 to 16 members, with Rosemary Lindsay as Director since 2003.

In June 2005, after a successful 25th anniversary concert at the Port Theatre, A Cappella Plus recorded their first CD. As Time Goes By includes 14 songs from the anniversary concert, plus another four songs added in June 2006.

A Cappella Plus is honoured to have been accepted to participate in the acclaimed, bi-annual Kathaumixw International Choral Festival in Powell River in July 2008. The choir is excited to represent Nanaimo as one of the growing cultural capitals of Canada!
